The Minnesota Stroke Registry investigators have selected a sample of hospitals to actively recruit into the program.

However, participation in the Minnesota Stroke Registry is open to all hospitals in Minnesota that receive acute stroke patients. Hospitals that receive stroke patients but send them on to other hospitals are eligible (and encouraged) to participate.

To enroll, hospitals must sign a grant agreement with the Minnesota Department of Health that indicates a commitment to participate throughout the duration of the program (through 2012). This grant award is provided to partially offset the cost of quality improvement work.
